I used this to relocate the battery in my Taurus SHO to the trunk directly centered in the spare tire well.The aluminum is slightly thinner than I expected but it is plenty sturdy as long as the location is in a interior location.All the cables and fittings were of good quality and allowed for a mostly straight forward relocation.The box bolts down using two long studs and you have to drill a 5/16" into the chassis of your vehicle hole for each. These studs hold the box, battery, and box top down. Throughout a few autocross sessions and the abuse of loose stuff flying around in my trunk it has held up well with minimal scratches.The only problem I have with this is that the cable needs to be about 2 feet longer, routing the cable through the interior of my SHO was easy enough but I was definitely short and being as my car has a shorter wheel base I would suggest for anyone installing this in the trunk in a larger car to buy some access wire. I fixed this by installing a fuse in the engine compartment at the end of the wire and using the old battery cables to connect to the starter.Overall, great buy, well worth the hard earned money and it looks good as well. Will probably fit the biggest standard automotive batteries easily. Just be aware that the battery hold down bracket is a fixed size and for wider battery you will probably have to cut it up and re-weld it or make your own bracket.
