Or, an assurance that it will perform and last like the original?In the end, I went to buy the original replacement battery for my Canon G7X MKII camera.Had I purchased a cheaper camera, then, purchasing a cheaper battery would be an easy decision.The battery I received came in the sealed, original box (with hologram) and after opening, it came inside a plastic bag with a protective white plastic cover for the terminals and a folded manual/instruction sheet.Out of the box and using the external charger, it took about 2 hours to fully charge it.No errors, no warnings, no worries, no headaches - it simply worked as it should - just like the original that came with the camera.Now, I have peace of mind knowing that I have a reliable back-up battery for the camera during my travels.YES!!!! YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT LISTING! THIS IS FOR YOUR G7X MARK ii, And if you've already purchased the camera then you know the battery life is literally one hour for filming. If You are like me and create sit down/talking videos & Vlogs.I definitely would recommend you buy 3. so you can have 4 total (including the one that came with the camera. Defiantly the same as the original one that came with the camera originally!I like it it seem to work just fine there is a slightly difference between some letters but everything else looks good and works perfect. To my surprise it was not. I figured that out the moment I charged it fully and put it in my camera and the battery died within 10-15 seconds (no lie). I thought I was crazy. I said ok I will charge it again tomorrow and try it again. I did, and the same thing happened. I said to myself, ok maybe they sent a defective battery. I will just return this one and use my original battery until I purchase a another backup battery. I attempted to use my original battery in my camera and the same thing happened with that battery used.I then went and bought a battery from best buy thinking of course their brand of battery is going to work for my camera... Sure enough it did NOT, the same thing happened with that battery as well, but even worst. The moment I put that best buy battery into the camera and pressed the power on button, my battery died. It died so fast! It didn't even stay on long enough for the lens of the camera to protrude. (and everyone with a canon G7X Mark II knows that as soon as you power on the camera the lens come right out) . Very pleased, works as expected.The Good:-OEM battery (just like the battery that comes with the camera)-Long battery life-No error messagesThe Bad:-ExpensiveThe Bottom Line:I needed an extra battery for our Canon Powershot SX740. This battery was the exact same one that came with the camera. This is an OEM battery so there are no error messages and no issues with quality. The big downside is this OEM battery is expensive. Overall I would recommend this OEM battery over generics. I’ve tried them and they always give me error messages or don’t hold a charge.I recently bought my self a Canon G7X Mark II camera for my vlogs, and I decided that I would need a spare battery for it as well. I have read all the reviews of the much cheaper version of this battery, and I also read that the much cheaper version does not function the camera properly at times. I decided that if I was going to spend a good few hundred quid on a decent camera then I may as well spend the correct money on a proper battery by Canon. I ordered this battery on Thursday and it arrived very promptly the day after by the Amazon man. This is a good little batery and it does exactly what it says on the tin really and I cant say more than that. Again tho if any one is spending out a lot of money on a decent camera then why would you not spend out on the right battery. Add it to your 'Wishlist' and buy when the price is right for you.I brought this as a spare battery. I rather have a genuine battery than a fake one. I have a 5 year old camera my dad gave me to borrow. Only 1 battery is a propper cannon one. The other two are cheap chinese copys.Never but these they don't last. I ended up buying my own camera. As the is no way I'm buying a new battery. For a 5 year camera that is not mine. I have saved loads of time on my filming as I don't wast a day on waiting for batterys to charge up then go flat 30 mins later.to some it seems over priced but work put how much time is saves over time you use it.Genuine article, replacement or spare battery for my Canon Powershot G7X Mark 2. Works fine without any issues as you would expect. I'm taking a star off though as I feel this is too expensive for a 1250mAH Li-Ion battery pack. I bought genuine to avoid issues with the battery indicator but I do hope Canon will consider making this a bit cheaper in future.I can only imagine this is powered by diamond for what it cost. Looks like any other small battery, but for price to weight ratio it’s like gold dust.Doesn’t particularly last long aswell. Ah well who needs to feed the kids when you can give them memories.
